Kawan lama datang melawat
Tadi tengah rehat-rehat dalam bilik, tengok movie kat laptop. Pandang luar tingkap, nah kau. Cepat-cepat lari turun bawah nak ambil gambar.
Dalam hati tak boleh berhenti menyanyi:
Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar
For full album, please click here.
Jejuk!
Semalam dah mula -4°C. Hari ni bangun pagi dah berais kat luar rumah.
And it will just get colder and colder!

Godsent angels are real people on earth
My life has been nothing but a blessing. Although last week was horrible, these angels have been so kind to me and nursed me back to health. They are the most positive people that it is impossible not to be positive along with them.
They take turn to keep me company, day and night. I didn't know angels work in shift.
They make sure I keep to my pantang diet, they keep me company so that I won't get sad (while letting me be sad if I need to), they helped me clean and did laundry, they cooked, made ginger teas for me, massaged my feet when they get too cold, ran to apteeki to buy medicine when I need them.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much. I really really appreciate all the hard work (physical and emotion) that you have put into making me, me again. Thank you!
Special shoutout to Yumi for being a full-time nurse and gave me so much TLC, for cooking and providing bottomless ginger teas, for cleaning up after me, for making laundry, for staying and keeping me company, for watching Frozen with me and letting me sing out loud, for massaging my back when it was hell and for every second after.
Thank you Pavithiran for being the awesomest ever. For every single thing, from waiting up at ER, from making teas and porridges, for the non-stop support.
Thank you Rima for being there at the hospital, and for the yummy piirakka and for positive thoughts.
Thank you Nicky for the gift, for cleaning my apartment, for lending me your warm pyjamas when I soiled everything I have and for your kindness in everything.
Thank you Milka for your patience in waiting up for me when I napped for hours, for making pancakes, for making laundry in that haunted common room and for providing comfort.
Thank you Jane, Andrés and Alyssa for the positivity, for support, for being there.

Tuulimuna
Sepatutnya Noa datang dalam dua minggu lagi. Sebab tak lama lagi kami nak jumpa doktor sama-sama tengok ultrasound.
Tapi tak sempat. Semalam dah takde. 4 doctors stared at me down there. Not the best feeling nor the best experience. Cari² heartbeat tak jumpa. Bila jumpa sac nya, fetus nya tiada.
Medical term for this miscarriage is tuulimuna/ blighted ovum.
Doktor tak boleh buat apa, I can't do anything either. I was pregnant and having all the symptoms, but it was an empty one.
Let this be a pengalaman for us all if you don't know that already, I, don't want to hear all that now.
Be a good friend and family. Send me positive thoughts and love. I'm already dealing with physical pain even though not as bad as the mental pain. Send Noa some love too because he is also in pain.

Maikkulan Koulu Innovation Week.
Aktiviti minggu ini:
Maikkulan Koulu Innovation Week.
(Minggu Inovasi Sekolah Maikkula)
Kisahnya:
Kaedah yang digunakan: Project-based learning. The more we give them freedom to think creatively, the better they get at solving problems.
Let's see how it goes

Demonstrasi
Semalam hujan.
Hujan lebat.
.
.
Semua perkhidmatan diberhentikan: bas, tren, sekolah, kapal terbang, etc. Bersatu hati betul orang kat sini buat strike.
.
.
Anyway.
.
Sebab semalam hujan lebat (tak pernah hujan selebat ni sebelum-sebelum ni), terowong basikal dekat dengan rumah tenggelam dengan air. Dan sebab semalam strike, perkhidmatan bas diberhentikan semalaman. Dan sebab bas tiada, Pavi kena pergi kerja naik basikal.

Sampai kat terowong basikal tu, Pavi meluncur masuk macam gelongsor kat Sunway Lagoon <-- this is what he said.

Nasib baik tak mati. Kalau tak, tak pasal² status semalam orang komen: mendiang baik orangnya.

Pavi Pavlova
Jadi haruslah semua orang kenal siapa Pavi ni.
Nama dia Pavithiran Thangaperumal a.k.a Pavi. Dulu kitorang sama belajar kat IPBA, tapi sebab Pavi 2 tahun muda, our paths never met. Or probably we could have met somewhere dekat kantin IPBA beli nasi lemak kat pak lang bertahun dulu, cuma tak kenal je.
Pavi ni orang paling baik dalam dunia. Tak pernah jumpa makhluk paling baik macam dia ni.
Masak pun sedap. Tiap-tiap hari dia tanya, "You nak makan apa today? Nak singgah pergi kedai beli sayur ke apa tak?". Pastu kami pun bincang dan bincang dan bincang pasal makanan. Kat sini kami share weekly grocery money sebab makan sama-sama.
Minggu ni punya menu je: Nasi dagang, nasi lemak ayam rempah, bihun Singapore, pizza, pisang goreng, roti arab cicah kari ayam etc etc etc.
Kalau berborak tu, tak kosong pun sembang tu.
Sekarang Pavi tgh tunggu lampu hijau untuk sambung PhD. Tak lama lagi dapat la tu. Good things happen to good people kan.
Comel dah. Macam space stepmom dalam cerita Megamind.
p/s: Pavi single lagi. Siapa-siapa nak buat calon menantu, I can give positive reference heheh
Mula balik
Semalam berborak² dengan sahabat lama. Lamaaaa dah kenal.
Tak gitu pun, guru penulisan rasanya dah berbuih² mulut suruh tulis, sikit² lama² jadi bukit. Maaf zahir batin, cikgu.
Dimulakan dengan Bismillah, I will write a series of short anecdotes on my wall jika diberi kesempatan.

Pimply story
Before you read, please know that this is a story of a man and my pimples.
I have tried so hard (and still am battling) to eliminates my pimples through taking medication, topical creams and natural remedies. Nowadays I don't have as much pimples, but during menstrual macam ni, one or two will definitely break out.
Background info:
My cubicle at work is second from the last row. Behind my cubicle is the most eccentric man in our office, Mr. B. He is a not-so-tall man, large in the middle area, age 48, acne-scarred dark skin, has very unpleasant manners towards some people he thinks he can bully, disobeying orders from authorities at work and so on. Mr. B joined this office about 5months ago. He is overly friendly in the most displeasing way you could ever think of. He mencarut-carut loudly in the office once after receiving an assignment from his head of department. He took off for weeks without permission, he comes to work at 9am instead of 8am, he goes to his illegal minum pagi and lunch for hours and just comes back to the office to sleep and to clock out. (please remember, he is quite new to the office)
******************
Pimpling the pimple story:
Mr. B was walking towards his cubicle, which is behind my cube, then after passing by my cube for a few feet, he 'gostan' (English: go astern) to my cubicle and stared at my face intensely. I was a bit disturbed from my reading then looked up at him. Then he said,
"yiiii ape pasal muka banyak pimple ni? merah-merah tu"
I felt like slapping his face as an immediate reaction, but I thought twice and decided to laugh it off.
"hahaha, dah nak ada pimple nak buat camne kan?"
I thought that was it, but...
"tak taruk ubat ke? macam takde buat apa-apa pon kat pimple tu"
and that was the time I feel like screaming my bloody intestines out onto his face.
"MR. B, WITH DUE RESPECT, PERUT BUNCIT YOU TU, YOU TAK MINUM TEA DETOX KE APA-APA KE? TU KAWAH-KAWAH BEKAS ACNE KAT MUKA YOU TU, TAK PAKAI BIO-OIL KE? "
I screamed at him.
In my heart.
Shit.

To fringe or not to fringe
My hair is quite long now. I wonder if I should keep my front hair long and simply slap it to the side or should I get a bang... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Updates on nothingness
1. Lind Say bought me a mini massager costs RM11 including battery from KL Sentral. That cheap dirt massager is awfully awesome for my shoulder and when I get headaches. Nice^^ Here's the pic of that massager:

2. Can't buy Nokia N8 without selling PSP. Whoever interested to buy moded PSP CG 1000 from me, please please get to me ASAP :P

3. Eskimo is home. He looks good, but there's something different about him. Usually when we are at the vet, he would be very very angry because of other cats' smell. But now, he becomes calmer, and his voice! He sounds like little kitty instead of mraoooomraooooo sound he used to make, he sounds like miu miu. This must be one of the miracles of neutering! I'll put his pics later when I get the chance. He is slimmer too due to the removal of fat tissue from his intestine (Cat liposuction????) when Dr Intan tucked his hernia in too. He has to take like 5 different meds daily to help him get better. The bills were okay, a bit lower than the initial estimation of RM400. All in all, he is glad to be home. Oreo is no longer miaowing and frantically looking for Eskimo too :)
4. I have finished all the levels in Angry Birds, yup, managed to finish them all. There were 195 levels altogether and I finished them all! Still trying very hard to improve my highest score...what? Shut up you dont tell me I am spending too much time with Angry Birds! Angry Birds and Evil Pigs are just too awesome!!
5. Since last month, the Perhilitan puts a big cage to trap monkey. Pity them monkeys when they were trapped, nobody checks on them. The first batch of 7-8 monkeys were trapped in the cage with no food and water, and no shelter from the hot scorching Malaysian sun and the infamous late afternoon rain. So I fed them roti krim. They were in the cage for almost a week before I finally called the Perhilitan to pick them up. The second batch was a sadder case. A baby monkey jumped into the trap and the baby monkey has no food, milk nor shelter. Its been raining most night. On the fourth day, I saw that there were 4 monkeys in the cage. The baby monkey was dying. I was so disturbed to see that baby monkey. So I quickly buy 5 roti krims, but when I got to the cage again, the baby monkey has died. I cried so hard even though I did not know the baby monkey. I can't imagine if the baby monkey is my baby Eskimo and Oreo. I called the Perhilitan again this time, and they said that they have altogether 50cages around Selangor and the rotation to check on this particular cage is not due yet. I know they might be understaffed. I know that they have saved a lot of animals before this. But to leave a cage unchecked like that, is an irresponsible act.

Dear monkeys, I forgive you for mashing nasi basi on my car. You guys are very clever, you wiped all the nasi on all windows including the side mirrors. You peed on my car roof too. I forgive you monkeys. May you find happiness in your new relocated home.

Kids at Prison
SEAMEO delegates and I went to visit Prison School few days ago. It was okay, we were thoroughly checked up and down by the prison officer prior to getting into the prison. I couldn't bring anything other than myself and the clothes I was wearing. I couldn't bring the camera in.
We were introduced to the system of the prison and the types of offence committed by the detainees. Some that I remembered:
-Section 302 : First degree murder
-Section 376 / 377: First degree sexual offender
The uniform system in the juvenile prison:
-White shirt: less than 3 months
-Red shirt: 3-6 months
-Green shirt: 6-12 months
-Blue shirt: 12-15 months
-Dark blue shirt: excellent prisoner
-White shirt with red sleeve: capital punishment
-White shirt with blue stripes: escaped from police detainment before recaptured
-White shirt with green stripes: escaped from juvenile prison
etc.
I got to talk to them. They were nice kids, some of them are brilliant. They just need a second chance. Some of them come from families who simply do not care. An officer told us that sometimes, parents do not know that their kids were in prison until months later. And if they knew, they simply shunned away or ignored them. These kids, they have great artistic skill, it shows in their Skills class, where they have to produce t-shirts, mugs, calendars and designing stuff. Their classes are well-equipped and they get to go to class according to their ability instead of age. So a few managed to be undergraduates at the age of 17+. They were given as much attention as a caring parent would do. Honestly, these kids have better chance than kids outside the walls.
I am so disturbed since it's a kid's prison.
There is one case where this kid stole a can of Coke. The owner of the shop pressed charges and the bail out was RM1000. The kid's family was poor so they could not afford to bail him out. So he was sent to prison for one whole year.

Most of them come from low income families who cannot afford to bail them out.
I can't forget their eyes.
I can't forget the block where they stationed young criminals in death row. I saw white shirt with red sleeves hanging on the laundry lines outside the block and I knew that is one image I will never forget for the rest of my life.
I believe in second chance. Heck, third chance why not.
