No, it's not some kind of festival or whatever.
My room has been infected by black fungus/mold. So far, it has eaten up my wardrobe and it's disgusting, honestly. The worst part is because I have allergies, so I get itchy here and there and every morning, I feel like getting a fever. I didn't know if it was because of the fungus, I thought I got sick because of the rain, but this could be one of the reasons. Ntah.
The night I found the mold on my wardrobe, I simply wiped it off using Dettol surface disinfectant spray and I thought that was just it. Horror of the horror happened on the next day, when it was still bright, I found that the inside of my wardrobe is also infected and I found spores on clothes inside it. You can never be too careful with this fungus problem, so I decided to send ALL of the clothes in the wardrobe to laundry. Yuckssss! Geli is one thing, I coughed and sneezed when I come near the wardrobe. So that's the end of the wardrobe's life. Bye bye wardrobe. You have served me well. Though I like you very much *sobs*.
I found that the walls and the floor are quite cold, thus, they provide a comfy place for the mold to grow. You see, my bedroom sliding window takes up the entire length of the wall, so the sun shines straight into my bedroom. But because of rainy season, I close the window, but during midday when the sun shines brightly and warms up my bedroom, it dampens the air so the level of humidity rises. So the mold grew exponentially and I found them having partay at the back of the wardrobe especially, it was very cold and damp.
I put my air purifier for two days straight because I couldn't sleep because I am a paranoid.
I need to buy a dehumidifier. $$$!
